Develop your leadership skills by attending the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders. Work with your local branch or campus satellite to initiate and coordinate projects that matter to you. Speak out on ways to recruit and retain student affiliates and shape AAUW programs for younger members on the Student Advisory Council. Take advantage of AAUW's many leadership workshops and manuals to give you the edge.

Work with mentors who hold the degrees and jobs you covet, and let these women help you take the next step on your education and career ladder.

Learn about the people and issues affecting your life as a student and a woman through AAUW Outlook, e-mail alerts, an e-zine for students, and a student website—all free. Student affiliates can also read the monthly Action Alert policy newsletter each month online in the Member Center or receive discounts on a paper subscription.

A voice in government.

Let AAUW's lobbying efforts strengthen your voice on issues concerning education, health, and other areas critical to women and families. Participate in these efforts by joining the AAUW Capitol Hill Lobby Corps.

A student affiliate must be enrolled as an undergraduate in a two- or four-year regionally accredited educational institution.
